Project Office Closure

Due to the end of current regeneration funding provided by the Government, The Ashton Regeneration Project office on Old Street, will close to the public from Friday 14th March. However, residents will still be able to contact staff using the normal 0161 343 7200 telephone number.

The Government has announced a successor funding scheme to the current Neighbourhood Renewal Fund that ends in March called The Working Neighbourhoods Fund and Tameside has been awarded £12.5million over a three-year period.

This fund will support employment projects across the borough and is likely to include the former Ashton Regeneration Project area within its focus.

The Regeneration Partnership will remain and continue to work in the best interests of residents in the area. Watch this space for news in the future about how the Parternship will take forward its work over the next three years.
