New Houses, New Houses, New Houses

West Pennine Housing Association and Templar Housing Association begin work on 23 new houses in the West End of Ashton
Work has now begun on the last two cleared sites at Fitzroy St / Bennett Street and Marlborough St / Trafalgar Street. Both sites will see 23 new homes consisting of a mix of two and three bed houses and two bed bungalows for open market sale.
The development will be marketed by Templar Housing, sister organisation to West Pennine HA, both part of the Regenda Housing Group. It does not alter anything for the development and the Council remains a partner in this scheme.
New Development for Stockport Road

5 New Homes at Stockport Road/ Bollington Street. Artists Impression of the new houses.
West Pennine Housing Association is building 5 new three bed houses on vacant land between Stockport Road and Bollington Street.
This small development is the final piece in the development jigsaw for Ashton’s West End. The construction of the other 38 houses is under way and Lovell’s, West Pennine’s developer/partner will soon be moving onto this site. The build time for these houses is approx 15 months from Feb 2008.
Typical house layouts for the new development
Below you will find four plans showing typical layouts for the new houses being built in the West End of Ashton
The house types and layouts are intended to be very similar whether they are for rent, shared ownership or, in fact, for sale.
This ‘tenure blind’ approach helps to prevent house types being labelled in certain ways and also allows the construction process to move much quicker. It also allows the cost differences to be reduced and this is then passed onto the buyer.
